One More Day

Just one more day until games begin and the excitement is growing. All 3 teams went to the main fields this morning for a light training session to get the legs moving after a long day travelling and get used to throwing in the conditions. The weather has been perfect for us Irish so far: dry, warm but overcast with negligible wind. I hope it continues but as I type this I can hear rain starting to tap on the window...

Accommodation is grand, comfortable but not luxurious in any sense. Shared bathrooms and showers may become an inconvenience but the common rooms with massive tv make up for that. The food isn't good at all so far but we're lucky enough to have a Lidl across the road from us.

The big news so far is that the mixed team has been rocked by news of an illness to Windmill MVP Fiona Mernagh. A late night hospitalization was followed by another hospitalization this afternoon. She has since been disharged and is confident of playing in Ireland's opening game tomorrow morning.
